It’s Smoothie Saturday
Summer is officially here, woo-hoo! I hope you and your family are enjoying the long days, and beautiful weather just as much as we are. Well…I’m actually battling a cold at the moment, but all in all this mama keeps on going (with a little rest here n there) when I can.
I’m feeling the summer vibe with sunshine and warm weather so this week’s menu features a:
Pineapple Mango Smoothie
For me, these two flavors combined make me think of Hawaii, which in some way makes me again think of summer…
so here we go, another Smoothie Saturday served up just for you.
Ingredients:
1 Cup of Pineapple (fresh or frozen)
1 Cup of Mango (fresh or frozen)
1 Banana, sliced
1 Cup of Almond Milk
3-4 Ice Cubes
1 Tsp Ground Flaxseed (optional)
Mix it up and you’ve got yourself a summer blend of Pineapple and Mango whipped up in this delicious smoothie. This recipe makes a lot - 24oz to be exact, you can share with the kids or just devour yourself. I won’t lie, I drank the whole thing instead of sharing, it was so good I just couldn’t help it. My kids do love Pineapple so I know this will be a popular smoothie this summer.
Thanks so much for joining me for another Smoothie Saturday. I hope you enjoy mixing up your smoothie this week.
Stay tuned next Saturday, I’ve got a Watermelon recipe in the works, perfect for summer and for the 4th of July.

Heather this looks so yummy, cool and refreshing. Exactly what I need on this 100 plus degree day!

Hi Leslie, you could probably enjoy after workout maybe adding in some protein powder. Sometimes I add protein powder to my smoothie but right now I’m all out.

Thanks TaMara, my kids love pineapple too! My daughter must’ve eaten a lot of the pineapple as I sliced it to make this smoothie, lol. Enjoy. Let me know what your kids think
