Quench your Thirst with Homemade Lemonade
On a hot day, there’s nothing better than quenching your thirst with a refreshing glass of homemade lemonade. Here in San Diego we’ve had 95 degree weather in May, which is very unusual for us this time of year. To beat the heat the kids and I whipped up a super delicious homemade lemonade.
My kids LOVE this recipe, a big hit for sure!
My daughter took one sip and declared this as the BEST lemonade EVER!!!
Luckily we have a friend with lemons, lemons, and more lemons galore, so of course, we scooped up a bunch and got squeezing.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of freshly squeezed lemons (about 8 lemons)
1 1/2 cup of white sugar
9 cups of water
Directions:
Cut and squeeze lemons to make 1 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice and set aside in a bowl.
This is great to get the kids involved, they can get those muscles working by helping you squeeze the lemons.
Enjoy a super refreshing glass of Homemade Lemonade
Got lemons? If so, it’s easy – just get squeezing and enjoy this yummy must-try recipe!

We love lemonade too, you’re right it’s definitely making me ready for summer! Next time I’ll add other fruits to make it festive. Hope you have a great week Kaitlyn - and I’ll for sure be at the TGIF Hop this week
I love lemonade year round, but there’s something special about enjoying it in the hot summer months. I will try your recipe,
being from Guatemala we use limes instead of lemonade. I’m sure this will be such a treat, Thanks for linking up with us on the TGIF Hop.

Silvie, using limes would be fun!!! When I made this recipe a friend had just given me almost half her lemon tree, lol - but in the future I thought of adding other fruits to make it festive too. Definitely, agree it feels so refreshing or makes me think of summer too!
I was just thinking about fresh lemonade yesterday. I can’t wait to make some.

This is so simple and sounds so refreshing! We are definitely going to be trying this recipe. We decided on a camping theme for our little guys first Birthday and wanted to have an ice tea and lemonade stand as featured drinks for the kids.
