Have you read This House Needs a Mouse? This wonderfully entertaining book is a must read for the family this year! This entertaining book written by C. Jeffrey Nunnally is a story with a difference. A book full of delightful words, a fantastic story of a mouse on a mission.

Once I was invited to review this fantastic story, we could’t wait to jump right into this exciting story about a mouse. We love reading SO much, books of all sorts. We especially enjoy books with engaging words, and amazing illustrations. One look at the cover and we knew, we were in for an exciting story ahead.

This House Needs a Mouse is a delightfully entertaining story the whole family can enjoy reading together. An engaging story, with beautiful illustrations, mixed with great spirited dialogue, everyone can be a part of reading this book.

This House Needs a Mouse is a story of a energetic mouse who is dissatisfied with his life of being in a cage, he dreams of a new life, somewhere else… anywhere, but where he exists. Where might that be? Because this mouse is no ordinary mouse, he is an extraordinary mouse. He discovers, with a stroke of luck, and thinking fast, that he can be free! This determined mouse is on a mission, to discover where he belongs and what his true purpose is.

This mouse is determined.. such a witty little guy full of life. You can just feel his energy while reading the story.

Once he is set free, he soon discovers how exciting life can be. But what may be ahead, no one knows, especially this adventurous mouse. There may be some challenges and bumps in the road, including traps, poison, and a very lazy cat. But nothing, that can stop this mouse from fighting on with determination. Luckily for him, he finds the perfect house, meant just for him.

As you can see below, my son just loved looking through the adventurous pages, and fantastic illustrations. My son loves when I read to him, and he couldn’t wait to turn the page to see what’s next. My daughter who is 7 read the whole book by herself when she arrived home from school, and now enjoys reading it to her brother.

I would recommend reading This House Needs a Mouse for so many reasons. The illustrations and wording are delightful, it keeps you turning the pages and engaged, to see what’s going to happen next. We also really enjoyed the repetition and exciting story line. We couldn’t wait to find out what happens to this ordinary mouse, and by the end of the story we were smiling. A great story for the whole family to read together and find a connection to the character’s determination and lively personality.
